1. Compare annual costs

Use the same consumption, capacity, annual period and VAT basis for both arrangements. Network charges exclude the energy commodity cost.

Cost / year (£)CurrentProposed
Electricity network charges
Maintenance & inspection
Other recurring ownership costs

Include retained duties, rent, service fees and other recurring costs in the appropriate row. Avoid counting the same cost twice. Enter 0 only where confirmed nil.

2. Add any one-off proceeds

Use the payment actually payable after agreed splits and deductions. Only enter costs paid separately; do not deduct costs already netted from the payment.

Enter all six annual costs to calculate recurring savings. Unknown figures stay unknown.

Your figures are calculated in this browser. They are not submitted or saved when you use this tool. Copy or print any comparison you want to keep.
How it is calculated

Simple arithmetic.
Site-specific inputs.

The calculator organises a proposal. It cannot determine whether the proposed tariffs, asset payment or transaction terms are achievable.

Recurring benefit

Total current annual costs − total proposed annual costs. A saving requires complete, comparable inputs across network charges, maintenance and other ownership costs.

Cash and combined benefit

Net receipt = payment payable − separate one-off costs.
First year = annual saving + net receipt.
Five years = (5 × annual saving) + net receipt.
