We survey qualifying sites free of charge. The financial benefit can come from lower electricity network charges, transferring agreed transformer maintenance costs, and an upfront payment for qualifying assets. An upfront payment is a one-off benefit, separate from annual savings.
Do we need to confirm who owns the transformers?
Yes. We need to establish whether your organisation, the local distribution network operator (DNO), or another party owns the transformers and other HV equipment. If this is unclear, we can help establish the ownership arrangements.
What do I need for the initial online site check?
An electricity bill showing the Supply (S) Number. The checker explains which numbers to copy. If a code is missing or cannot be identified, your result will explain that a manual check is needed.
Will I get my result straight away?
Yes. After entering your contact details and S-number, your initial supply result appears on screen immediately. You do not need to wait for us to review it. If the number cannot be matched, the result will tell you that a manual check is needed. If the result indicates a high-voltage supply, we can then help confirm ownership, eligibility and potential savings.
What could change if our network is suitable?
Depending on the site, adoption of qualifying privately owned assets may change the network charges, release an asset payment and transfer agreed maintenance or replacement duties. The exact assets and responsibilities must be set out in a proposal.
Would we have to change electricity supplier?
No. Your energy-supply arrangements are separate from the electrical infrastructure. Any proposed changes to metering or billing will be explained as part of the proposal.
Can we check more than one site?
Yes. Send us a list of your sites and Supply Numbers. We can screen the portfolio and identify which sites could benefit from further discussion.
How does Oxygen Energy get paid?
Our service is free to your organisation. We charge the network operator a one-off finder’s fee. You do not pay Oxygen Energy for the service.
